I like how Batman is kinda 'realistic' in comparison to the other big superheroes. (note: quote marks around realistic)

Screw Batman, screw Superman, Screw Spiderman, and screw that wussy Aquaman. IRONman is where it's at. I was never a fan of superheros, but my older brother always lent me his Ironman comics, and Ironman was not only a superhero, but a p-i-m-p. He always had two ladies in his arms when he was out of the exo-suit.

yeah, Iron Man does kick ass ... (even though he's got a serious drinking problem ... at least back when I used to read it).
I always liked the angst-ridden Silver Surfer, too.
The Flash? Naaah ... doesn't he work for FTD Florists?

what I don't get is the whole superman v batman possibility of a movie. I guess this is in a comic somewhere right?
Seriously, that's just a no contest. It's like Mike Tyson vs Peewee Herman with Peewee wearing lead boots.

Peewee totally pwns Mike Tyson, cause Peewee is more manly than tyson
peewee watches adult films, and Tyson has a girly voice
peewee wins in my book

nope.... you're wrong ... The Flash works for FTD Florist's - probably not as manly as you think

Ive never liked bat man, it just goes to show money can buy you superhero status.... He is nothing but a normal rich guy with a buttler, a cave in his basement, and a tight suit with a cool belt
if batman can get away with being superhero perhaps someone like Tony Jaa should as well

"Bat"man comes from his original story of his parents dying and him falling into depression. Its more of a name of Emotion rather than literal looks or abilities.
A Bat stays in the night, which is how Bruce feels about his life. He puts on a face to the public, but he is dying inside, and swoops revenge on "Bad guys" in retribution for his parents.
Since this "dark side" of Batman is rarely shown in cartoons, that old show, etc, Its hard for some people to understand him.

If every narcissistic histrionic schitzotypal sociopath with post-traumatic stress disorder had a billion dollars to spend... the world would be chock-full of Bat-people, Mice-people, Possom-people and Wombat-people.

And you gotta admit, Superman does so much stuff it's pretty safe to call him "super."
But WTH is Batman? He can't fly like a bat - he has to use a grappling hook. Heck, he's not even blind like a bat. Face it, Bruce Wayne is just some rich guy with an unlimited budget who can buy his way into superhero status. Most superheros who can't fly have to run on foot - Batman drives around luxuriously in either a souped-up 1966 Caddy or some gas-guzzling politically incorrect SUV monstrosity. Is nothing sacred?
It's not fair that other superheros have to go through space travel, gamma ray exposure, dimensional exile and other hazardous origins ... but Bruce gets a free ride just because he can foot the bill. Yeah. Yeah. His parents were killed ... boo hoo. It's very sad but, of all the people in the world who lost parents tragically, why is Bruce the only one who gets to be a superhero?
I'll tell you why. Because he's a stinking rich boy!
Sure, he works damn hard at his job ... but so does the kid who mows my lawn, but I don't call him LawnBoy.
Batman is a sham. He's a complete phony - deceiving the public just to get his own comic. He is a disgrace to every mutant, alien and ubermensch in the superhero profession.
I rest my case.

-See post directly after yours, then take a psychlogy course and do a paper on Bruce Wayne's psyche.
If one has the money and drive, one could become Batman.
Spiderman would not exist, because the brown recluse bite would land him without legs in some bed somewhere.
Antman would be allergic to ant bites, and die foaming at the mouth, and all that radioactive mutation crap would be nothing more than the babies born months and years after Heroshima.
I have heard of people knocking pop culture icons for not being realistic enough, but knocking them because they are not outlandishly deranged beyond reason enough? PUT THE BONG DOWN.
End of discussion.
